Physical Therapy tailored to you.

There are many types of treatments, modalities, and exercises that can benefit our patients. At The Physical Therapy Collaborative, we work together with each individual patient to mutually agree on a plan of care that is both beneficial and inspiring for them. Below are only a few examples of treatments we offer. Please contact us if you have any questions about a specific type of treatment you are interested in.

Gait & Balance

Program

Each year 3 million seniors are treated for falls in the emergency room. These numbers are likely higher due to the many falls that go unreported. Our physical therapists will perform an extensive evaluation of your posture, muscle strength, static and dynamic balance. Depending on your results, a safe, fun, and effective program will be created to improve your gait, balance and confidence during your activities of daily living.

Blood Flow Restriction (BFR)

BFR is a style of weight training that uses high repetitions and light weights while wearing a compression strap, tourniquet, or blood pressure cuff on your upper arms or legs. BFR training increases strength and muscle mass at rates typically seen only by lifting heavy weights. This allows us to start rehabilitating an injury much sooner after surgery, while still protecting the healing tissue.

Injury Prevention

Our physical therapists go beyond just treating your current symptoms. We perform a comprehensive evaluation which includes movement analysis, posture and musculo-skeletal testing. Assessing your body as a whole, rather than a single body part can help prevent future injuries from occurring.

Manual Therapy

Manual Therapy describes different types of hands on treatments that address soft tissue or joint restrictions from previous injuries, surgeries, or over-use conditions. These restrictions can lead to poor movement patterns and dysfunction, which can ultimately lead to chronic pain. Combining manual therapy with functional exercises can be an effective way to stop the pain cycle.

Return-to-Sport

Training

We work in collaboration with your coaches, athletic trainers, and physicians to develop a plan of care that will safely progress you back to a high level of activity. Whether you are recovering from an overuse injury or post- operative surgery, we will strive towards helping you return to pre-injury levels and beyond.

Functional Exercises

Functional Exercise is a type of strength training that prepares your body for regular activities of daily living (ADL). Some examples of ADL’s may include getting in and out of your car, or reaching for a plate on a high shelf. We will address your individual fitness goals, discuss which ADL’s are the most challenging for you, and design an exercise program that will help you achieve your functional goals.

My physician referred me to PT Collaborative over a year ago for help with chronic pain from herniated discs. Since I've worked with the doctors and staff, my pain is greatly reduced and my mobility improved. After so many years of pain, I didn't think that was possible! I couldn't be more thankful or give them a higher recommendation. Thank you thank you thank you!

I was referred to PT collaborative by a client, who is a close friend. I will tell you right now that you cannot do better than PT collaborative. The atmosphere is welcoming, supportive, each and every employee is highly qualified, friendly, and this is a happy place to go through what is often painful rehab. I fractured my humerus and have been rehabbing for several months. I cannot recommend this place any more highly. I've been in rehab before for a knee replacements, and I am so happy where I am now.

I have nothing but GREAT things to say about PT Collab! Aside from the amazing location and environment, the people are what make the place what it is! Every person who works there is extremely kind and treat you like a friend. Most importantly, they have all supported me in my journey to recovery after back surgeries. I am eternally grateful for PT Collab and know that if I need to go back, I will be in the best hands!!
